Lizzo Is TikTok’s Top Hitmaker Of 2022
Lizzo must be congratulated since TikTok has officially chosen her as the best musician of 2022! After the “Year on TikTok” review was publicly revealed on Tuesday, the exciting news was unveiled.
Along with a popular video, TikTok also revealed its picks for some of the creators who really stood out on the site in the previous year in a press release.
Many creators received well-deserved recognition for their creative viral trends, outstanding TikTok communities, and instructive how-to videos.
Notably, the media release included a section titled “Hitmakers,” where Lizzo held the top spot on the coveted list. Bad Bunny, Doja Cat, Selena Gomez, and Billie Eilish were included among the other musicians honored in the category.
A distinct “Emerging Artists” category that was included in the release later on recognized well-known artists including Ice Spice, GloRilla, Latto, Omar Apollo, and Muni Long.
Lizzo Prepares To Wrap Up An Eventful Year
We must highlight some of the other significant advancements in Lizzo’s career that took place this year as we celebrate this success.
Lizzo made history earlier this year by playing a 200-year-old flute that belonged to James Madison, as The Shade Room previously reported.
She was equally nervous as she was honored, as she told fans, “B**ch I’m scared. It’s crystal. It’s like playing out of a wine glass, b**ch, so be patient.”
Of course, Lizzo has also been engaged in a busy schedule of responding to detractors and advocating for American women’s reproductive rights.
She has also taken it upon herself to be more forthright about issues of confidence and self-esteem, even going so far as to refer to herself as a “body icon” for unabashedly expressing self-love.
