Country singer Luke Bell dies at 32
One obituary described Luke Bell as “one of the most authentic and magnetic talents to grace the country music art form in the modern era,” having opened tour performances for musicians like Willie Nelson and Hank Williams.
After being reported missing for more than a week, a country music singer has been found dead.
According to the New York Post, which cited the Tucson police department, the body of 32-year-old Luke Bell was found in the city.
He was found on Monday close to where he was reported missing on August 20th, according to his friend and fellow country musician Matt Kinman, who verified his death on the Saving Country Music website.
Bell issued a self-titled album in 2016 and won the Ameripolitan Awards’ best honky-tonk male performer honor in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2018.
Fellow country musicians and fans have paid tribute on social media.
One fan remarked, “I’m sure there are many country music enthusiasts out there who don’t know the name Luke Bell.
“However, as someone who is quite picky about country music, I will admit that he had one of the best albums to be released in the genre in the previous 20 years. Look into it. Adieu, Luke Bell.”
